National Candy Corn Day!!!

Oct. 30 was celebrated by Food Science students as they explored non-crystalline candy production by making and analyzing structure of the world's treasured Halloween treat, CANDY CORN!

Sizzling Chili Throwdown

On Sunday, Oct. 27 at the first annual Sizzling Chili Throwdown located at Lake Lawn Resort in Delavan, Wisconsin, Pulaski ProStart teamed up with Fox Valley Technical College's Chef Jeff and took SECOND PLACE, missing first by a mere .6 of a point!  Check out the team and pics of prep and competition!

Family Foods students explored vegetarian lifestyle options and practiced cooking pasta to AL' DENTE *please say with mucho gusto* For the vegetarian pasta cook-off, groups chose recipes that would be suited for vegans, lacto, or lacto-ovo vegetarians.

Sizzling Chili Bowl Throwdown

Advanced Foods students prepared angel food cake with browned butter icing or an icing of their choice.  Even the students' smiles are heavenly :)

Cartoon Cake Challenge- RESULTS!

Pulaski High School Advanced Foods students put their decorating skills to the test in creating a 2-layer cake (dark chocolate, vanilla, or red velvet).  The class voted on their favorite theme- CHILDREN'S CARTOONS!  The cook-off was based on two separate categories- #1: Taste (cook-off master judge, Jerad Marsh decided the fate of the results)  and #2: CAKE DECORATING, determined by an on-line vote.  Thanks to all who voted!!!
